Hey everyone! I am writing this blog from Gainesville, Georgia. I am back on the world race as a team leader and am spending these next 3 months walking alongside young believers. I want to first thank you all who have supported me through prayers and finances. It has been a continued blessing that I can’t thank you enough for. I hope these blogs reveal a glimpse of all the seeds you have sown through your support!

Jesus is calling:

As I have pursued God, and found my identity in Him, I have seen radical changes in my life. I have seen that He has truly given me a new life that is full of His goodness and walking in His presence. I have the opportunity to now disciple others in this beautiful walk!

The beautiful testimony of God’s love is reflected in each individual on this earth. That my new life in God is what God wants for all His children. So I am amazed by a simple, yet profound fact. Jesus is calling. In everyone’s life, Jesus is calling. Sometimes we let things get in the way. Fear. Control. Distraction. Comfort. Complacency. There are so many ways the enemy tries to hold us from God’s goodness. This has been such a sweet time to witness God’s goodness move amongst the lives of those around me. That no matter where a person is, God comes in with love and wants us to turn to Him. He is full of grace and mercy. His love is so great that He forgives through the cross, and He also comes in the Spirit to walk with us and refine us into our intended image! The reality is nothing can separate us from the love of Christ!

I have begun to witness the fruits of these young men and women saying yes. A year and a half ago I said yes. I said yes to God. And that is not just the world race. That is saying yes to God coming into my life. Not just a belief, but a full surrender to the life He has called me to live. That I want to live to glorify Him and make disciples of all nations!

Jesus is calling upon your life! He always is, no matter how deep we are in a relationship with Him. It is a daily call. It is a beautiful call. Sometimes we don’t know where to start. Maybe we question the character of God and if He is good. Or if He’s real. If that is you reading this, I would love for you to reach out. There is a feeling in our deepest being of our heart that Jesus is calling. Something more. Something better. That we should run after this. Many obstacles hold us back, and it is a narrow road. But this life with God is our intended purpose! The word of God. The gospel story. It is truth. I can testify for myself, and from God’s heart for the individual, I know many others can testify too!

Romans 12:2

“Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but instead be transformed by renewing your mind.”

 Thank you God for all your children. I pray your calling is heard by all your children. That those who know you deeply share your goodness, and those who don’t will find you. That any walls that hold us from you will be broken down in your love. That we can come to you and realize that you have always been there. In Jesus name, Amen.

  1. Wonderful words Samson. You have the words and ability to get us wanting to be closer to God. We need to pray every day that we listen for Jesus Calling. And then respond to his calling.

    Love you, Grandpa

  3. You are so right, Sammy. Jesus is calling, not wanting to leave anyone behind. It’s time for God’s people to stand up, speak up, and proclaim His righteousness to the whole world, which begins in our neighborhoods, in our families, and in ourselves. God bless you on your journey this fall, and I pray your team opens the hearts of all you encounter to the blessed gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

  4. Thanks Samson some great insight and words to ponder on how Jesus is calling each one of us to Him. Always look forward to your updates and gifted words from someone empowered by the Holy Spirit! Looking forward to what’s next for you!

  5. My dear Samson, What a timely message! Our world is so full of hatred and mistrust and anger and Jesus is calling us. He is calling us to the antithesis of these negative feelings. He is calling us to love, faith and reconciliation. . .to respect for others even if we disagree with them. He is the only way to heal our world and bring light out of the darkness. Thank you for the Holy Spirit guiding you to deliver this much needed message. I dedicate my days to following his call. Love and hugs, Grammy Karen

  6. I am reminded of an old hymn,

    Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
    calling for you and for me;
    see, on the portals he’s waiting and watching,
    watching for you and for me.
    Refrain:
    Come home, come home;
    you who are weary come home;
    earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
    calling, O sinner, come home!

    Sometimes I think maybe Jesus needs to turn up the volume a bit. 🙂

  7. Sammy…I am grateful that my sons have you as mentor and someone they can connect with. I’m sure those that you are leading will not forget their journey to hearing Jesus call!
