Below is a copy of my support letter:

I have some exciting news to share with you! Instead of going to college next year, I have
decided to take a step in my faith and go on the World Race Gap Year. The World Race is a
program through Adventures In Admissions, an interdenominational nonprofit missions
organization that works to mobilize young Christ followers to spread the Word of God.

Beginning in September 2020, I will travel to eSwatini, Ethiopia, and Cambodia. Living 3
months in each country, I will support the goals of local missionaries: helping orphaned
children, spreading faith to locals, and teaching English to young students.

The reason I am joining the World Race is because of my experience on mission trips to
Honduras and New York City, where I found a joy in doing God’s work and serving others. I am passionate about sharing God’s love, and I want to leave an impact on the people I meet. I feel God is calling me to take this leap of faith, and I trust that He will lead me in fulfilling His purpose on this trip.

Above all, I ask for your support through prayer as I take this step. Prayer is the most powerful way you can support this journey: prayer for me and my team, prayer for the people we will encounter, and prayer about your involvement in partnering with me.

Additionally, I am being asked to raise $15,800 to cover costs for the trip, and I would like you to consider donating to help fund my mission. In doing so, you will not only be supporting me, but you will also be supporting the Lord’s mission to spread His Word to the world. It would truly be an honor to have you join my support team and help me invest in God’s Kingdom.

2. Send a check payable to Adventures In Missions. I have enclosed a fundraising card
that must be included with your check and sent to the address on the card.

And there are other ways you could help support my trip, such as hiring me for jobs (childcare, pet sitting, yardwork, etc.) or supporting the different fundraising events I post on my blog!
