I hope you were able to reflect on where the Lord wanted to lead you in part 1. Please go back through the part 1 if you haven't yet. In this part I would like to expand upon where your thoughts may have went or maybe bring you into the truth of the Gospel.

1 John 4:19

“We love because He first loved us”

Our primary reason for being born is not to love. Not to follow a God of rules and conditions. Forced to love others and be a good person. It is to, first, be loved. We love only because He first loved us. In all honesty, God has no need for us. This might sound harsh at first, but that is the beauty of it all. He has no need for us, but we are still on this earth to be loved by God! God chooses us as His beloved!

The Bible is a love story. We were born to be loved. The Lord is eagerly waiting to have a relationship with you. To shower His love upon you. To bring you into His loving arms and hold you as His child. God wants to love you unconditionally! Jesus died on the cross because of His great love for you, and He calls you His bride. We are brides of Jesus and sons/daughters of God. 

The common reason people don’t become believers in Christ is because their view of what it means to be a Christian is not the truth. Their rejection of Christianity is not their rejection of Christ. Christianity has a view of following a God with many conditions and rules. Shackles to your freedom. The idea that God’s law overcomes God’s grace when it is the other way around. God’s grace and love overcomes all. When you choose to follow the Lord that is when the shackles that you have been wearing fall off and you walk in true freedom with your Heavenly Father.

The more you understand God’s love for you, the more joyful life is!

In part 3 I will expand upon how understanding God’s love leads us to walk out in His true love to the world. “Christ follower” is a big title to hold. You represent Him in all you do, so it is important to first have the foundation of your existence.
