Hello everyone! In this blog I am going to share with you something I have been learning by God’s grace as I have walked with Him in this season. It’s to not just know I am His child, but to walk in that truth.

Matthew 18:1-5

“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”

He called a little child to Him, and placed the child among them. And He said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.””

Wow… how crazy this passage may seem. If we do not become like a little child, we will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven! A position as a child will be the greatest in Heaven! What does that mean?

Matthew 23:12

“The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

To humble ourselves to God. To come to Him like a little child. I have been learning the beauty of God’s character. That He is a good Father and I can step deeper into being His son. A child who is enamored by how cool his Dad is. A child living free in Spirit. Not worrying about being provided for, but knowing that my Father already knows what I need. I’ve learned to trust more. To let go of control. To not fall captive to the fears of the world and take control back from God, but to open my hands to His glory. To let His love wash over me. As I let go of control, I get pushed into deeper waters, but my Father is right there next to me. I need not worry. We seek first His kingdom and the rest will be added because He is a good Father.

Matthew 6:31-34

“So do not worry. Saying ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows you need them. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

So I encourage you… Where are you trying to take over too much control? Where fear is guiding your actions and your thoughts. There is a beautiful freedom when we let go of control. When we surrender. It’s scary, but it gives the space for God to show His beauty. When I think back to my childhood, I remember the thoughtless joy I have for life. That it was full of adventure and awe. We were created this way. The world tries to take over our hearts. The enemy tries to take over our hearts. But there is this beautiful reality that as we mature in Christ, we also become more like that little child free from any chains. I’ve learned faith looks like letting go of that control to see His beauty, not to wait upon His beauty to then let go.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

With eternity in our hearts, no matter what we face, the truth is God works for our good. He is a good good Father.

  1. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done . . . Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

    Philippians 4:6-8 (NLT)

I really like the above scripture.
